Over the years your body collects toxins and other harmful substances. The accumulation of these impurities in your body is not healthy. Cleansing yourself of these impurities will make you feel better and give you more energy. There are a number of things you can do to naturally rid your body of these substances.
One simple step is to increase the amount of water you drink. When you drink water you are hydrating your body. Water flushes out the impurities in the body. May of us do not drink enough water on a daily basis. You should drink 8 to 12 glasses a day to help flush out impurities in your body
The amount of water you should normally drink changes daily. This is based on your health, weather and your physical activity. If you live in a hot dry climate you will require more water, especially if your job is physically demanding. Another factor is your weight. The more you weigh the more water you need to drink. If you have a healthy diet probably about 20 percent of your required daily water intake will come from the foods you eat. Healthy beverages such as herbal tea, one hundred percent fruit and vegetable juices and low sodium soups are great for hydrating your body.
Another thing you can do to cleanse your body of impurities is eating food that is high in fiber. This will cleanse your colon and keep your gastrointestinal tract free of waste material. Increasing fiber in your diet should be done slowly. This is because you digestive system has to used the increased amount of fiber being added to your diet. This change in your fiber intake will be done gradually over a couple of weeks.
A good starting point add fiber into your diet is in the morning. This can be done by just adding a few tablespoons of wheat bran to your favorite breakfast cereal. You could even add some to your yogurt. Other good sources of fiber are multigrain exports which use unprocessed whole grain flour as an ingredient. Eating whole grains has more fiber then processed grains because the outer skin has not been removed and the whole kernel is used. Adding berries and bananas to your diet will also increase your fiber intake. If you use processed flour when you bake substitute it with whole grain non-processed flour.
As you can see cleansing you body of harmful toxins and impurities involves some simple changes in your diet. Increased water intake (or recommended water intake) and replacing processed foods with more natural foods such as whole grains is a good start.
