-Simpling screening tests by manufacturers especially those chemicals in high volume use and the results should be available to the public.
-Replacement of certain chemicals with safer organic alternatives.
-Rduction in the number of chemicals in the market and used in the production of goods.

The bad news is, it will not. There's no caffeine in water.

Why I quit drinking coffee

One day in 1992, I asked my now late mother why she did not drink coffee.

She said because it's addicting.

I scoffed.

She challenged me to stop for 30 days. I accepted. Surprisingly, I found it was not a problem and boasted to her about it.

She said, “go another 30 days”. About half way through the second 30 days, I started to experience the withdrawals. It was awesome!

For about 2 years, I was an absolute mess in the morning without my coffee.

She was right. I was completely addicted.

Water instead

I noticed a lot of people drinking water. I decided to try starting my day with water.

Almost immediately I noticed a difference. I felt more invigorated and the caffeine craving I had been experiencing all that time just seemed to go away.

I've been drinking water first thing in the morning ever since. I graduated to larger amounts as time went on, now 40 ounces.

Not only that, although I still do not drink coffee, I've found I like tea and can enjoy 1 or 2 cups after the water. The best part is, if I do not get my tea, I do not miss it. I'm pretty sure I'm no longer addicted to caffeine. I can simply enjoy the kick it provides but I can live without it.

Health and the 5 F's

As I've aged-I'm currently 61– health and healthy living have become more and more of an issue. I've become somewhat of a health nut. Some would say nauseatingly so.

From what I've read, the human body is designed to last 120-140 years. I'm doing my part to make that happen.

So far so good. As I see it, my life is not quite half over.

What I know for sure is that people do not believe I'm 61. Most people think I'm about 45.

Perhaps I'm bragging but I believe at least in part it's because of the 5 F's: Food, fitness, finances, fulfillment, and fun.

I have no problem qualifying for the most favorable life insurance rates.

It begins with food. Technically, water is not food but it works for me.
